How do the free limits work?

We offer our services for free without requiring a login! To prevent abuse, your local browser keeps track of your sessions. You are granted 5 Standard requests (via OCR.Space) and 2 Premium AI requests (via Sarvam AI) periodically. Once exhausted, you will need to wait for a session reset or wait for our upcoming Pro plans.

What is the difference between Standard and Premium AI engines?

Standard OCR is highly optimized for clean, printed text, such as digital screenshots, PDFs, and typed documents. Premium AI (powered by Sarvam AI Vision) is built for highly complex tasks, including messy handwritten student notes, deeply cultural regional scripts (like Indian languages), and poorly lit camera phone pictures.

Why did my image extraction fail?

Extraction typically fails for three reasons:

The image file size exceeds the 5MB limit.
The image is too blurry, or the contrast between the ink and the paper is too low.
You have exhausted your daily free API quota.

Do you store my uploaded photos?

Absolutely not. Your privacy is critical. The images are passed securely to our processing partners strictly for text extraction. Once the text is extracted and returned to your screen, the image is completely flushed from memory. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

When is the Pro plan launching?

We are actively building a robust backend system to support unlimited unmetered requests, bulk document processing, and PDF exports. The Pro Beta stamp indicates this is coming in late 2026!
